Chinese New Year 2017
The Empress Celebration from 7 Jan to 30 Jan 2017 at The Curve. The Curve’s Centre Court will feature its own recreation of the Hall of Supreme Harmony, the largest throne room hall built within the heart of Beijing’s Forbidden City. Keeping watch at the entrance are a pair of guardian lion statues, also known as Foo Dog statues.
As visitors enter, a truly imperial court experience awaits, embellished by the brilliant gold and deep red hues of the area, as well as 14 feet high pillars showcasing beautiful carvings of Chinese dragons and patterns. Amplifying the jaw-dropping ambiance is an elaborate two-tiered throne, set on a raised platform facing the rest of the throne room.
Empress Celebrations & Events
Taking place against this striking backdrop is the highlight of the Curve’s festive campaign, a specially-choreographed live performance entitled The Empress’s Court Dance Musical. Joy and excitement abounds as Empress Huang and her court pay homage to good fortune and new beginnings. Also, don’t miss out the thrilling Fortune Acrobatic Lion Dance, or the heart-pounding Imperial Celebration 12-Drums.
Take home a dash of the Imperial Kingdom! Throughout the campaign, shoppers who spend RM138 and above in a maximum of two receipts at any outlet in the Curve will be able to redeem a set of Empress’s Imperial Red Packet. Better yet, an elegant Imperial Banquet Set will be redeemable with a minimum spend of RM388, which comes in a variety of four colours, courtesy of the Curve.
